Giving Back to Community at JVIS

Giving back to the community is engrained in the culture at JVIS.

It’s a value shared across the organization and made real by our team of hardworking and compassionate individuals who care deeply about making a difference in the communities where they live and work.

Across JVIS and our global team of professionals bringing ideas to life from concept to consumer, this commitment is more than donating money. It involves dedicating time and resources to support causes and nonprofit organizations focused on the well-being of individuals, families and communities in the places where Team JVIS calls home.

That’s why we encourage our employees to be active in their communities and applaud them for participating in various outreach programs each year. From supply drives and program sponsorships to charity auctions and more, the JVIS team works together to help make a difference.

Here are some of the community initiatives undertaken by JVIS and our employees in the last year:

  • JVIS hosted a special Manufacturing Day event at our headquarters in Shelby Township, Michigan, where we welcomed local high school students from the Utica Center for Science and Industry.
  • Our team supported various high school athletic and educational programs, including the Imlay City Band Boosters, Romeo Girls Volleyball, L’Anse Creuse Wrestling Club, L’Anse Creuse Middle School South Science Olympiad, Lutheran Northwest Athletic Program and students interested in skilled trades at St. Mary’s in Mount Clemens.
  • We sponsored an event for SKIP Supporting Kids in Pain, hosted a booth at the Detroit Auto Show’s Preview Charity Event and donated to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital

Our team in Shelby Township ran a can/bottle deposit drive to help the Mount Clemens Goodfellows and participated in breast cancer and diabetes awareness drives that helped raise more than $1,500 for Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, and $1,000 for the American Diabetes Association. JVIS employees in Clinton Township ran a back-to-school clothing drive for the Macomb Foster Closet and donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

This holiday season, JVIS is proud to continue our support for Turning Point by collecting donations for this incredible organization in Mount Clemens helping survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

“JVIS truly has the best team of employees, who each year go above and beyond in giving back to our local communities,” said Jane Grewe, director of human resources at JVIS. “The dedication and community involvement from our employees shows that JVIS is a great place to work for great people who care.”

At JVIS, we believe in community engagement, and we demonstrate it through collective action. It’s just what we do and why WE ARE JVIS.
