JVIS Hosts Local Students for Manufacturing Day

At JVIS, we pride ourselves on fostering strong connections with our local community and supporting the next generation, which is why we were honored to participate in Manufacturing Week in Macomb County, celebrated during the first week of October.

This annual event is not only essential for the manufacturing sector but also serves as a key platform for students to explore high-tech manufacturing in the automotive industry and beyond. Macomb County is the largest in the nation to support Manufacturing Day, extending it into a week-long event with numerous host sites. This provides the perfect opportunity for us to showcase the innovative technology driving our industry to local youth.

As both an event sponsor and host site, JVIS opened our Shelby Township facilities on Thursday, Oct. 3, to local high school students for a special Manufacturing Day experience. For the second consecutive year, students from the Utica Center for Science and Industry (CSI) visited our facilities to explore our advanced products, cutting-edge technologies, and the exciting career paths within automotive manufacturing.

Throughout the day, JVIS experts guided the students through the design process, offering an inside look at how concepts evolve into tangible products. From initial sketches to prototyping, engineering, validation, and rigorous testing, students saw firsthand how JVIS turns innovative designs into reality.

With the automotive industry undergoing significant transformation, it’s an exciting time to be involved. We are grateful to the Utica Center for Science and Industry (CSI) students who joined us for Manufacturing Day, and we look forward to inspiring the next generation to take part in shaping the future of manufacturing.
